About Jeffrey K
Jeffrey K Greenwell has built a career that crosses bankruptcy law and intellectual property-related work. He combines courtroom experience and project-based roles. The result is a practice that moves between individual client representation and business-oriented assignments.
He earned both a Juris Doctor and a Master of Studies in Environmental Law from Vermont Law School in 2007. Earlier, he completed a Bachelor of Science in Technical Sales at Weber State University in 2002. Those academic credentials underpin a practice that has evolved over more than a decade.
Greenwell opened his first solo practice, Greenwell Law, PLLC, in 2011. That office handled consumer matters and established his presence in Montana legal circles. In 2016 he served as Of Counsel at Bryan & Travis, PLLP, a role that placed him alongside other practitioners and expanded his exposure to different case types and client needs. In the same year he worked outside a traditional law-firm setting as IP Director of Marketing Searches and Project Specialist for Brandstock Services AG, where he handled project-level work tied to intellectual property and brand research. He formed the Law Office of Jeffrey K Greenwell, PLLC in 2018 and continues to operate that practice.
He is admitted to practice in Montana and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Those admissions allow him to handle matters at both the state level and on appeal in the federal circuit that covers the region.
Professional memberships have been a steady part of Greenwell’s career. He has belonged to the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys since 2011 and to the National Bankruptcy Institute since 2012. He also holds membership in the American Bar Association dating to 2008. On a more local level he served on the board of the Northwest Montana Bar Association and was its president from 2011 until 2015. He also served on the board of the Whitefish Theatre Company from 2012 to 2014.
Colleagues and clients see a practitioner who moves comfortably between one-on-one consumer work and project-based intellectual property assignments. He has handled personal bankruptcy filings, creditor-debtor disputes, and related litigation, and has experience supporting brand and trademark search projects.
He maintains an active solo practice through the Law Office of Jeffrey K Greenwell, PLLC and currently concentrates on consumer bankruptcy representation and related bankruptcy litigation as well as select intellectual property search and project work.
