About Cathy Jo

Cathy Jo Kahnle earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 1989. She finished law school at a time when the legal landscape was changing and has built a career that spans more than three decades. Her education at Stetson provided a foundation in core litigation and transactional principles that has carried through a lengthy professional life.

After law school Kahnle established a practice that crosses multiple state lines. She is admitted to practice in Washington, Florida, Kentucky and Montana. She also holds memberships in the Montana State Bar, The Florida Bar and the Kentucky State Bar. Those cross-jurisdiction credentials have shaped the practical contours of her work and the types of matters she takes on.

Over the years Kahnle’s practice has required attention to differences in state procedural rules and statutory frameworks. She routinely manages the logistics of cases and transactions that involve more than one state. That often means coordinating filings, deadlines and client communications in ways that respect each jurisdiction’s requirements while advancing broader legal objectives.

Her involvement in professional associations has kept her connected to changing standards and state-specific developments. Membership in state bars has also offered a platform for peer exchange and periodic continuing legal education. Those engagements provide a steady connection to the legal communities in the jurisdictions where she is admitted.

Kahnle’s day-to-day work includes advising clients on matters that touch multiple state systems and representing them where coordinated legal action is required. She balances case preparation, document drafting and strategic planning across geographic lines. Her approach tends to be practical: align procedural steps, anticipate conflicts of law issues, and keep clients informed about jurisdictional implications.

Colleagues and clients see her as a lawyer accustomed to the complications that arise when matters do not fit neatly inside a single state’s borders. She has maintained a steady practice since completing her law degree and continues to take on work that spans separate regulatory and judicial systems. As of 2026 she practices law across Washington, Florida, Kentucky and Montana, handling matters that traverse those jurisdictions.
