About Jason
Jason Seidman trained first as an undergraduate at Lafayette College, where he studied government and law and received his B.A. in 2005. He went on to earn his J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia in 2009. Those years set the course for a career that has moved between public service and private practice.
While in law school he spent summers doing hands-on legal work. He was a summer associate at Arseneault, Whipple, Farmer, Fassett & Azzarello in 2007 and at Central Jersey Legal Services in 2008. Those early placements exposed him to both courtroom routines and client-facing responsibilities.
He opened his own practice soon after law school, serving as managing lawyer at the Law Office of Jason A. Seidman in 2009. The following year he joined the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office as an assistant prosecutor, a role he held beginning in 2010. Prosecutorial work occupied the early part of his career and gave him experience in trial preparation, case evaluation, and courtroom handling.
In 2015 he moved into private practice at the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall. That position broadened his day-to-day work and brought him back into a firm setting. He has been active in local bar circles as well. He has been a member of the Middlesex County Bar Association since 2013 and belonged to the Middlesex County Assistant Prosecutors Association from 2011 to 2015.
His credentials include completion of the Top Gun Narcotics Training administered by the New Jersey Division of Criminal Justice. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Those qualifications reflect both state and federal practice horizons.
Seidman maintains offices associated with the Law Offices of Jonathan F. Marshall, including a main office in Red Bank and an arrangement to see clients by appointment in Somerset County. He has managed matters that require courtroom appearances and filings at different levels of the New Jersey court system.
He practices in New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and his current practice focuses on criminal matters and federal-court cases.
