About James
James Radford earned his law degree from The University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. He completed his legal education at a time when the Georgia courts and federal appellate practice were handling a rising volume of complex litigation. Radford is admitted to practice in Georgia and is also admitted to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
After graduating from law school, Radford began his practice in Georgia. Early years in practice exposed him to trial dockets and appellate filings alike. He developed an interest in procedural strategy and case preparation that carried through his career. Over time he moved into roles that required both courtroom presence and attention to appellate briefing.
Radford’s work has involved representing clients in state trial courts and handling appeals that proceed to the federal circuit level. He is familiar with Georgia courtroom procedures and the particular demands of federal appellate practice in the Eleventh Circuit. That combination has shaped how he approaches case development and client counseling. He aims to align trial tactics with possible appellate questions so cases remain coherent if they proceed beyond the trial court.
Throughout his career he has taken on matters that require careful legal research and clear written advocacy. Drafting appellate briefs and preparing oral argument have been recurring components of his docket. In trial settings he has managed evidence presentation and witness preparation when cases required an on-the-record development of the factual record. These experiences have informed his sense of what appellate courts will review and how best to preserve issues for further scrutiny.
Radford operates a solo practice under the name James Radford, LLC. He handles matters that arise in Georgia courts and those that have a federal appellate dimension. The firm provides representation tailored to each case's procedural posture, whether in trial or on appeal. He maintains an active practice that balances litigation tasks in state venues with appellate filings before the Eleventh Circuit.
Today Radford continues to represent clients in Georgia and to pursue appeals in the Eleventh Circuit. His current practice focuses on litigation in Georgia and appellate work before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
