J. A. Sowell trained as a lawyer in Kentucky and returned to the state after completing his legal education. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville in 2017, following a Bachelor of Arts from Western Kentucky University in 2013. Those years shaped his entry into the profession and provided the academic foundations he uses in practice today.
