About Homer P Jordan
Homer P Jordan IV brings a mix of legal education and business training to his practice. He earned three undergraduate degrees from the University of Central Florida, completing a B.A. in Finance and a B.A. in General Business Administration alongside a B.S. in Organizational Communication in 2005. He went on to complete an MBA at Stetson University in 2008 and a J.D. from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School in 2016.
After law school, Jordan moved into private practice and established offices under the Law Office of HPJ IV LLC as well as the Law Office of Homer P Jordan IV LLC. He maintains a presence in both the Hartsfield and Atlanta locations and handles matters that arise across the state. His practice has grown around family law and related civil disputes.
Jordan is licensed to practice in Georgia. He is also registered as a General Civil Mediator through the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution, a credential he uses regularly in settlement efforts. He belongs to several local bar associations. Since 2016 he has been part of the Cobb County Bar Association’s Family Law Section. He joined the Atlanta and Paulding County bar associations’ family law sections in 2017 and remains active in those groups.
His day-to-day work centers on family law: divorce, parenting time and custody matters, child and spousal support, and property division. He frequently employs mediation to resolve disputes and reduce the time clients spend in court. When a negotiated outcome is not possible, he prepares cases for contested hearings and trial.
Jordan’s business background informs his approach to cases that involve financial complexity. The MBA and finance studies give him a grounding in valuation and cash-flow concepts that can matter in property division and support discussions. He aims to deliver practical advice about both legal options and the financial consequences that accompany them.
Outside the office he participates in bar section activities that focus on family law issues and stays current through continuing legal education. He keeps his practice concentrated on family law and civil mediation in Georgia.
He currently practices under the Law Office of HPJ IV LLC and continues to handle family law matters and civil mediation across Georgia.
