Harriet Roland graduated from Regents College with a B.S. in accounting in 1990. She went on to earn an MBA in taxation from the University of Nevada–Las Vegas in 1992 and a J.D. from the University of Denver in 1994. Those three degrees form a consecutive progression: accounting, tax, then law. They also help explain the mix of financial and legal work that has marked her career.
Roland began practicing immediately after law school. Her earliest positions include work at Barker Gillock et al in 1994 and at Alverson Taylor et al in 1995. She later joined Roland & Kaplan, Prof. LLC as a partner in 2010 and established Roland Law Office in 2013. Over the years she has been licensed to practice in both Nevada and Colorado.
