About Griffin
Griffin Schindler built his legal foundation in Southern California. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola Marymount University in 2014. He then completed his Juris Doctor at Chapman University Fowler School of Law in 2017.
While still in law school he sought courtroom experience. In 2015 he served as a judicial extern at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District, observing hearings and assisting with legal research. The next year he worked as a law clerk at two firms, Stetina Brunda Garred & Brucker and Omni Legal Group, where he handled research, brief drafting, and file management for litigation and transactional matters.
After passing the bar, Schindler moved into private practice. In 2018 he joined Jafari Law Group as an associate lawyer. There he took on litigation support tasks and client work that expanded his familiarity with both federal procedure and state practice. Those early years gave him a steady mix of courtroom exposure and behind-the-scenes case preparation.
His qualifications reflect a mix of technology and dispute-resolution credentials. He is admitted to practice in California and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He holds registration as a patent practitioner with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and he is certified as a mediator under the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act. He has been a member of the Orange County Bar Association since 2017 and joined The Howard T. Markey IP American Inn of Court in 2016.
Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in written work. His background in biology informs how he approaches patent matters that touch on technical subject matter. He has handled tasks that range from patent prosecution and patent-related briefing to mediation preparation and client counseling on dispute strategy. The combination of scientific training and courtroom experience helps him translate technical concepts for judges and opposing counsel.
Schindler currently practices at Kushner Carlson, PC. He divides his time between intellectual property matters and civil litigation, handling patent prosecution, appeals work in the Ninth Circuit, and mediated dispute resolution in California. His practice centers on patent law and related litigation in both federal and state forums.
