About Gregory S.
Gregory S. Rich built a legal career that moves steadily from classroom to courtroom. He earned a B.A. in political science at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona in 1993 and completed his J.D. at the University of Denver in 2000. Those years set the foundation for a practice that spans state and federal courts.
Fresh out of law school he joined Zupkus & Angell as a lawyer in 2000. The early years were spent handling litigation tasks and learning courtroom work. In 2004 he took the next step and became a partner at Lambdin & Chaney. There he handled more complex matters and took on supervisory responsibilities. In 2014 he was named a partner and shareholder at Coombe Curry Rich & Jarvis, where he remains on the firm roster.
Court admissions list several jurisdictions. He holds admission in Colorado, Wyoming and New York, and is admitted to practice before the Tenth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Records also show admission in Texas. That range of admissions has allowed him to appear in diverse forums and handle matters that cross state lines.
Professional involvement has been part of his path. He served on the executive board of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association from 2014 through 2019. That role placed him among peers shaping professional programming and helping steer association activities during that period. He also earned a Claims Litigation Management Professional (CLM) certification, a credential tied to handling claims and the litigation that follows.
Colleagues describe his work as steady and methodical. He relies on practical courtroom experience gained over more than two decades to prepare cases and advise clients. He tends to take a problem-solving approach. He prepares pleadings, manages discovery and presents arguments in hearings, aiming for outcomes that reflect legal and factual clarity.
At Coombe Curry Rich & Jarvis he continues as a partner and shareholder. His practice draws on experience in claims litigation, insurance-related disputes and civil defense matters. He represents clients in state and federal courts and maintains the admissions that let him carry cases to appellate panels and, where needed, the nation’s high court.
He keeps professional work close to the day-to-day business of litigation and claims handling. He now practices at Coombe Curry Rich & Jarvis, concentrating on claims litigation and civil defense matters.
