About Farnaz

Farnaz Alms earned her law degree from Emory University School of Law in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Family Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore in 2015. The combination of a social science undergraduate background and legal training informs how she approaches problems. She brings attention to detail and an interest in how legal rules affect organizations and individuals.

After finishing law school, Alms moved into legal practice and joined Kean Miller LLP as an associate. Her work there has placed her in a firm environment where matters are handled across a range of transactional and litigation contexts. Colleagues describe her as careful and methodical; she is the kind of associate who takes time to understand the facts before advising on next steps.

Alms is admitted to practice in Texas and maintains membership in the State Bar of Texas. She participates in firm work under that license and adheres to the professional and ethical standards required by the bar. Her Texas admission situates her practice within the state's courts and regulatory framework.

Her educational path — from a family science undergraduate degree to law school at Emory — gives Alms a slightly different entry point than many of her peers. The undergraduate focus on family science lends familiarity with the social dynamics that can appear in certain client matters. Law school supplied the doctrinal training and practical skills needed to translate that perspective into legal analysis.

Within Kean Miller LLP, Alms has worked on matters that require careful document review, legal research and client communication. She handles assignments that range from drafting pleadings and briefs to participating in client meetings and internal strategy sessions. Her role as an associate often involves supporting senior attorneys while taking responsibility for discrete pieces of a larger case or transaction.

Outside of firm duties, Alms keeps an active membership in the State Bar of Texas. She does not currently list public leadership roles or academic appointments. Her career remains anchored in the daily practice of law at Kean Miller, where she builds practical experience and professional relationships.

She currently practices as an associate at Kean Miller LLP in Texas, representing the firm's clients in a variety of matters.
