About Ernest

Ernest Baello began his legal path at the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where he completed his law degree before entering practice. He moved from academic study into a career that spans several state jurisdictions. That multi-state footprint shapes the way he approaches cases and clients.

Baello is admitted to practice in Illinois, California and New York. Those admissions allow him to handle matters that cross state lines and to advise clients on jurisdictional considerations that affect strategy and outcomes. He has built his practice around the procedural and substantive differences among those courts.

In California he holds a Certified Family Law Specialist credential from the California Board of Legal Specialization. That certification signals additional study and testing specific to family law. It also means he meets the standards set by the state for specialists in that field. The credential is a key part of his professional profile and informs the types of matters he accepts.

Throughout his career Baello has maintained active membership in several professional organizations. He is a current member of the State Bar of California, the State Bar of New York and the State Bar of Illinois. He also belongs to the Association of Certified Family Law Specialists and local bar associations in San Francisco, Santa Clara and Beverly Hills. He participates in those groups as a way to stay current on developments in family law and to connect with peers across different court systems.

Professionally, Baello’s work centers on family law issues. He handles cases that include divorce, custody and related financial matters. He represents clients in negotiations, court proceedings and settlement discussions. His multi-jurisdictional admissions allow him to advise on forum selection and enforcement questions when parties or assets are located in different states.

Baello practices at Moradi Saslaw LLP. At the firm he works with clients on disputes that require attention to both legal detail and practical resolution. Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in court filings and case preparation. He balances court advocacy with efforts to achieve negotiated settlements when a resolution outside of trial serves the client’s interests.

He continues to practice actively in matters that call for expertise in family law across Illinois, California and New York, often addressing cases that involve inter-state complexities and enforcement issues in multiple jurisdictions.
