About Lisa
Lisa Perry built her legal foundation at the University of California, Berkeley before earning a J.D. from San Francisco Law School. She arrived in the profession with a mix of public university breadth and the practical, hands-on training that law school emphasizes. Those academic years set the stage for a career rooted in California law.
After law school, Perry joined Van Voorhis & Sosna LLP as an associate lawyer. In that role she performs the day-to-day work that keeps a law practice moving: legal research, drafting pleadings and contracts, preparing motions, and meeting with clients and opposing counsel. She has handled courtroom filings and case preparation in state courts and managed transactional tasks when they arise. Colleagues describe her as steady and methodical in managing deadlines and client expectations.
Perry is licensed to practice in California and maintains memberships in several professional organizations. She is a current member of the California State Bar and the Bar Association of San Francisco. She also belongs to the California Young Lawyers Association and the National Notary Association. Her alumni ties continue through a life membership in the California Alumni Association. These memberships give her regular contact with peers and continuing legal education opportunities.
Her work at the firm reflects the varied demands faced by an associate attorney in a regional practice. She splits time between client-facing matters and behind-the-scenes litigation and transactional work. Perry prepares briefs, conducts factual investigation, coordinates discovery, and assists lead counsel at hearings. She also participates in settlement discussions and negotiates routine transactional terms under the supervision of senior attorneys. This combination of responsibilities exposes her to multiple facets of legal practice in California.
Outside the office, Perry’s professional memberships provide a network for practical guidance rather than academic debate. The National Notary Association affiliation indicates engagement with practical aspects of document authentication and execution. Her involvement with local bar groups keeps her current on changes in state procedure and court rules.
At Van Voorhis & Sosna LLP, Perry continues to develop her practice in California, handling both litigation support and transactional matters for the firm’s clients. She currently practices law at Van Voorhis & Sosna LLP, representing clients in California.
