About Eric Michael
Eric Michael Gibson built his career on steady movement between public service and private practice. He earned a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2004 after completing a B.A. in Sociology and Business Management at Gettysburg College in 2002. The academic record set the stage for work that has ranged from criminal defense to real estate title matters.
Gibson began his legal career in public defense. In 2007 he joined the Berks County Office of the Public Defender as an assistant public defender. That period gave him courtroom experience and exposure to trial work. He left public service to enter private practice, bringing courtroom skills into a broader civil practice.
By 2012 Gibson was practicing at Bentley Law Office, P.C. Three years later he became a partner at Bentley, Gibson, Kopecki, Smith, P.C., a role he held until 2022. In 2022 he helped establish Gibson Law Group L.L.C., where he serves as a partner. That same year he took on a position as a title agent and attorney with The Real Estate Transfer Company. The sequence shows a move from general practice and litigation toward matters that include real estate transactions and title services, while maintaining ties to litigation work.
Gibson is a member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Lancaster Bar Association. Those memberships place him among local and state professional networks. He keeps offices in Lancaster and Lebanon, which allows him to work with clients across that region of Pennsylvania. Across his career Gibson has combined trial experience from his time as an assistant public defender with transactional and title work gained in private practice and at a title company. He continues to practice from his Lancaster and Lebanon offices, handling real estate title matters and a range of civil cases.
