About Wendy

Wendy Chan built her academic foundation at Pace University, where she earned a B.A. in 1998. She majored in history and added minors in philosophy and East Asian studies. After completing her undergraduate work she went on to Brooklyn Law School and received her J.D. in 2001.

After law school Chan moved into practice in Pennsylvania. She is admitted to the Pennsylvania bar and maintains an active license. Early in her career she worked on matters that required close attention to both federal and state rules. Over time she developed familiarity with the procedural and substantive issues that commonly arise for individuals and families navigating immigration and related civil matters.

Chan’s memberships reflect the circles in which she practices. She is a member of the Lancaster Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. She also belongs to the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a national organization for lawyers who handle immigration and nationality law. Those affiliations have kept her connected to training, case law updates, and local bar initiatives.

Chan practices at Chan & Associates. In that setting she represents clients on a range of immigration issues and provides counsel on matters that intersect with federal immigration policy. Her work requires handling filings, preparing clients for interviews and hearings, and responding to administrative requests from government agencies. She balances courtroom preparation with paperwork and client counseling.

Colleagues describe Chan as thorough in her preparation. Clients tend to see her as responsive and clear in explaining next steps. She approaches cases methodically and places emphasis on documentation and deadlines. The practice often involves time-sensitive filings and coordination across agencies, tasks she and her team address through established procedures.

Outside the office Chan stays engaged with bar activities in Lancaster and at the state level. She attends continuing legal education programs and participates in association meetings that shape local practice standards. That engagement keeps her current on regulatory changes and litigation trends that affect her clients.

Today she continues to practice at Chan & Associates in Pennsylvania, where she handles immigration matters and related civil issues for individuals and families.
