About Elizabeth Ann

Elizabeth Ann Brandenberg earned her law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law in 2000. She came out of law school at a time when criminal defense was shifting in procedure and public attention. That timing influenced the early shape of her practice.

Her career spans work in trial settings and court-based advocacy. For more than six years she defended clients ranging from juveniles to adults. Those clients faced charges that varied widely. Cases included property offenses and violent crimes. She developed a perspective that values direct client contact and clear courtroom presentation.

Brandenberg has worked through institutional settings as well as private practice. Her résumé includes time at the Federal Criminal Law Center, where she handled matters that required coordination with various criminal justice agencies. The work there exposed her to a steady docket and to the procedural demands of both trial courts and appellate filings.

She is admitted in several Georgia courts and maintains membership in the Juvenile Courts of Georgia, the Superior Courts of Georgia, and the Georgia Court of Appeals. She also holds admission in the Federal Circuit. Those admissions allow her to appear across a range of forums, from juvenile hearings to appellate panels. The variety of venues has shaped how she prepares cases and presents legal arguments.

Her practice covers typical criminal defense tasks: client interviews, pretrial motions, plea negotiations, trial advocacy and appeals. She has handled matters that require careful fact development. She also navigates procedural hurdles on behalf of clients. In courtroom settings she emphasizes clear narratives and organized records. In appellate work she focuses on identifying preserved issues and drafting concise briefs.

People who work with her describe a lawyer who prefers plain talk over legalese. She keeps clients informed about steps and timelines. She also places importance on next steps after a court decision, whether that means post-conviction remedies or transitional planning for clients returning to the community.

Brandenberg continues to practice criminal defense and appellate work, representing clients in juvenile and adult matters across Georgia courts and in the Federal Circuit. Her current practice centers on defending people accused of crimes and handling related appeals.
