About E. Glenn Smith
E. Glenn Smith Jr. is a shareholder at Carr Allison's Mobile, Alabama office, focusing on general litigation matters such as personal injury, premises liability, retail and hospitality, products liability, and transportation litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Furman University in 2000, where he was a four-year letterman in football.
He then obtained his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2004. Admitted to practice in Alabama since 2007 and Florida since 2010, Smith is also licensed in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Alabama. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® for Workers' Compensation Law – Employers since 2020.
Smith is an active member of the Mobile Bar Association, serving on the Executive Committee for Mobile Young Lawyers and as Chair of the Entertainment Committee. In his practice, Smith has successfully defended clients in various complex cases, including a serious injury trial in Mobile, Alabama, where he achieved favorable results against a leading plaintiff firm in South Alabama.
He also obtained summary judgment in a trip-and-fall case in Baldwin County, Alabama, demonstrating his expertise in premises liability. Outside of his professional life, Smith enjoys attending Alabama football games, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and sons, Morris and Glenn Coker.
