Douglas D — Adair is a seasoned family law attorney based in Bountiful, Utah. He has been a member of the Utah State Bar since 1993. Mr. Adair earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah in 1993, following a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Utah's David Eccles School of Business in 1989. In 2006, he founded Adair Law Firm, P.C., focusing on family law matters such as divorce, child custody, paternity, adoption, and protective orders. The firm operates out of Bountiful, Utah, serving clients throughout Salt Lake County, Davis County, Weber County. Other areas. Mr. Adair is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been actively involved in the Family Law Executive Committee of the Utah State Bar. He has presented case law updates at the annual family law meetings of the Utah State Bar between 2005 and 2009. Additionally, he has served as the President of the Davis County Bar Association. Before founding Adair Law Firm, P.C., he was a partner and shareholder in another law firm. He has also been the President of the Davis County Bar Association and was a member of the Utah State Court’s Domestic Process Improvement Committee. Mr. Adair is also a member of the American Inns of Court and has participated as a panelist and leader of numerous professional legal presentations. He graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1993 and also received a B.S. degree in Finance from the University of Utah School of Business in 1990. After law school graduation, Mr. Adair clerked for a District Court Judge in the State of Idaho. Then began his private practice career as an associate in a Salt Lake City Law Firm where he practiced commercial litigation and represented major Utah financial institutions. He is also dedicated to maintaining his professional skills and knowledge and is actively involved in many legal organizations. He is currently serving on the Executive Committee of the Family Law Section of the Utah State Bar and has presented the case law update to the annual family law meeting of the Utah State Bar several times between 2005 and 2009.
