About Marne

Marne Pehrson brings an uncommon academic mix to the practice of law. She earned a J.D. from Brigham Young University’s J. Reuben Clark Law School after completing a Master of Science in Gerontology and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of Utah. The combination of gerontology and law shaped an early interest in legal issues that affect older adults and families.

Her legal training included hands-on experience in both state and federal courts. In 2021 she served as a judicial extern at the Utah Supreme Court, working on research and drafting in the midst of appellate work. She spent 2022 as a law clerk at a boutique law office, assisting on client matters and courtroom preparation. In 2023 she completed a judicial externship at the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and later that year began practicing as a lawyer at Legacy Bridge Legal.

Pehrson holds memberships in professional groups that reflect the path she has taken. She has been a member of Women Lawyers of Utah since 2020 and joined the Salt Lake Estate Planning Council in 2023. She is also a member of the State Bar of Arizona as of 2024. She is licensed to practice in both Utah and Arizona and has worked on matters that bridge health, family, and financial concerns.

Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She emphasizes clear explanations and careful planning. Her gerontology background informs how she addresses issues tied to aging, capacity, and long-term care planning. In practice that often means preparing estate plans, assisting with probate questions, and helping families think through future health and financial decisions.

At Legacy Bridge Legal she has handled a mix of client consultations, document drafting, and court filings. She has experience supporting families through transitions and helping clients document their wishes. Her work there began in 2023, and she continues to represent individuals and families from initial planning through post-death administration.

Pehrson maintains an active presence in local professional circles and continues to pursue work that connects aging, law, and family dynamics. She currently practices at Legacy Bridge Legal and focuses on estate planning and elder law.
