David Zuckerman trained in central Pennsylvania and built a practice rooted in criminal law. He earned his J.D. from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 2008 after completing a B.A. in Crime, Law and Justice at Penn State University Park in 2004. Those years shaped his interest in how law and public safety intersect.
He began his legal career inside the Allegheny County District Lawyer’s Office, joining the staff as an Assistant District Lawyer in 2009. That early public-service role put him on the prosecutorial side of the courtroom and exposed him to the day-to-day work of criminal litigation in a busy county jurisdiction. The experience gave him practical insight into case preparation and courtroom procedure.
After moving into private practice, Zuckerman established a smaller, locally based office that allowed him to take on defense work across state lines. He is licensed in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey and has applied lessons learned as a prosecutor to representing people charged with crimes. His perspective is shaped by time spent in both roles — filing motions, negotiating resolutions, and appearing before judges.

He has been listed in the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 for Pennsylvania Criminal Defense since 2016, and he appears on the National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40 list from the same year. In 2018 he was named a Super Lawyers Pennsylvania Rising Star in Criminal Defense, a designation he continues to hold.
