About David

David Harman built his legal foundation at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he began studies in 2008 and earned his J.D. in 2011. He entered private practice after graduation and steadily broadened the scope of the cases he handles. Colleagues describe him as methodical and direct in court and at the office.

Early in his career Harman pursued admission to both state and federal bars. He is admitted to practice in Ohio and in the federal courts that serve the state: the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Membership in these jurisdictions has allowed him to appear in a range of state and federal proceedings.

Harman maintains an active role in professional groups. He is a member of The American Association for Justice, the Cincinnati Bar Association, the Potter Stewart American Inn of Court, the Federal Bar Association, and The National Trial Lawyers. Those affiliations give him regular contact with trial practitioners and federal court practitioners who share procedural strategies and updates on court developments.

His career has focused on litigation practice in Ohio’s courts and in federal forums. He has worked on matters that require familiarity with both state procedures and federal rules. That dual exposure informs his approach to case preparation and courtroom work. He tends to break complex procedural questions into manageable steps. He prepares filings carefully and aims to present arguments clearly to judges and juries.

At Burg Simpson Eldredge Hersh Jardine Harman is part of a litigation team that handles cases across multiple forums. He contributes to motions and briefs and participates in hearings in the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio and at the appellate level in the Sixth Circuit. He also appears in state trial courts when matters require action at that level.

Clients encounter an attorney who values preparation and clarity. He favors plain explanations over legal jargon when discussing strategy. He also keeps up with developments in federal and state practice through professional organizations and local bar activities.

He continues to develop his practice through courtroom work and association involvement. He currently practices federal and state litigation in Ohio.
