David G Henry built a legal foundation in Florida. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in 1982 and completed his Juris Doctor at Stetson University College of Law in 1991. Law school placed him in the middle of courtroom procedure and legal writing, including work on the Stetson Law Review.
His early experience included a federal judicial internship for the Honorable Elizabeth A. Kovachevich in the Middle District of Florida. That placement exposed him to the mechanics of federal litigation and the day-to-day decision-making of a trial judge. After the internship he practiced at an insurance defense firm, where he handled matters typical of civil defense practice and learned trial preparation, discovery, and motion practice on behalf of clients in contested matters.
In 2003 he joined Morgan & Morgan as a lawyer. At that firm he continued to work on contested civil cases and courtroom matters. His practice has involved drafting pleadings, taking and defending depositions, arguing motions, and appearing in court. Over time he accumulated trial experience and developed an approach that emphasizes thorough preparation and practical solutions for resolving disputes.
Henry is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Lawyer in the State of Florida. That certification reflects a recognized standard in civil trial practice and an emphasis on courtroom experience. He belongs to the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, and Tampa Bay Trial Lawyers. His connection to Stetson Law Review is part of his academic background and early legal writing work.
