About Dana

Dana Brooks built her academic foundation at Florida State University, completing two Bachelor of Science degrees in 2001 at the Panama City campus. She stayed at the same campus for a master’s degree, awarded in 2003, and later earned her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law in 2007. That progression of degrees anchored a move into the Florida legal community that has continued for nearly two decades.

She joined the Florida bar in 2008 and has maintained an active license since then. Early in her career she moved into civil litigation and began participating in professional organizations that align with that work. She has been a member of the Florida State Bar since 2008. In 2012 she joined the Florida Justice Association’s Medical Malpractice Committee and remains involved. That year she also served on a board within the Florida Justice Association for a limited period. She holds membership in the Tallahassee Women Lawyers Association.

Brooks practices out of offices listed under Fasig | Brooks. Her courtroom and trial experience comes through civil cases she has pursued in state courts across Florida. Colleagues note that she brings careful preparation to each file. Clients describe the work as methodical and evidence-driven rather than glib or sensational. She approaches depositions, expert workups, and case strategy in a steady, organized manner.

Her involvement in the Florida Justice Association’s Medical Malpractice Committee suggests regular engagement with medical-liability matters. She has worked on cases that require coordination with treating physicians, retained experts, and health-care institutions. That work often demands combining medical records review with careful legal analysis. She has steered claims through the procedural hurdles unique to Florida’s civil system, including pre-suit and statutory notice requirements when applicable.

Outside the courtroom she keeps up ties to the legal community through local and statewide bar groups. Her memberships reflect a professional life that mixes trial work with continuing legal education and committee participation. Brooks’s track record shows steady practice in Florida courts and a willingness to take on complex civil cases.

She is currently an attorney at Fasig | Brooks and maintains an active Florida license. She currently focuses her practice on medical malpractice and related civil litigation in Florida.
