About Dale
Dale Minami has spent decades building a legal practice that spans trial courts, federal benches and appellate panels. He is a familiar presence in California legal circles, known for steady courtroom work and organizational involvement across the state.
He earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 1971 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the University of Southern California in 1968. Those formative years placed him in two large public university systems during a period of intense legal and political change.
Minami is admitted to practice in multiple forums. His admissions include the State of California, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. Those credentials have supported appearances in both trial and appellate settings throughout his career.
He is a partner at Minami Tamaki, where he has handled a range of federal and appellate matters. Over the years his docket has required work in complex litigation and appeals, and his role at the firm has involved briefing, oral argument and coordination of multi-jurisdictional matters. He has worked alongside colleagues on cases that moved through district courts and courts of appeal.
Outside the office he has been active in professional organizations that serve the broader legal community. He helped found the Asian Pacific American Bar Association and the Coalition of Asian Pacific Americans, and he holds membership in the Alameda County Bar Association, the Bar Association of San Francisco and the Consumer Lawyers of California. Those affiliations reflect a long-running engagement with both local bar activities and groups formed to support lawyers of Asian Pacific heritage.
Minami’s career reflects steady participation in litigation at several levels of the federal and state systems. He continues to practice at Minami Tamaki, handling appellate and federal court matters on behalf of clients.
