About Colleen

Colleen Contreras pursued an unconventional path into law. She began with a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2000. Years later she returned to Arizona State University, earning a J.D. in 2017 and a Certificate in Law, Science and Innovation. She then completed an LL.M. in Family Law and Dispute Resolution at Arizona State in 2020, rounding out graduate study that directly informs her courtroom and settlement work.

Her professional life spans business leadership and legal practice. In 2001 she became CEO of Momentum2Execution, a role that placed her in charge of organizational planning and operations. Two decades after that corporate start, she founded Contreras Family Law in 2020 and built a practice focused on family law issues. In 2022 she took on a counsel role at Radix Law, adding firm-side collaboration to her background as a founding partner. That sequence shows a movement from executive management into the day-to-day practice and strategy of family law.

Her academic credentials are matched by professional certifications. She holds the Law, Science and Innovation credential from Arizona State University and a Project Management Professional certificate from the Project Management Institute. She is a current member of the State Bar of Arizona and of the Project Management Institute. These qualifications inform how she approaches complex cases, from managing timelines to addressing technical questions that can arise in custody and property matters.

Colleen blends procedural discipline and practical problem solving. She has experience drafting agreements, guiding settlement negotiations and representing clients in contested hearings. The Project Management Professional training appears in how she stages discovery and manages multi-step litigation. Her Law, Science and Innovation studies give her familiarity with technical evidence and expert testimony relevant to modern family law disputes. She has worked both as a solo founding partner and as counsel in a larger firm environment, which gives her perspective on different practice settings.

She is admitted to practice in Arizona and maintains active professional memberships. Her current office affiliation is Radix Law, where she continues to handle family law matters and dispute resolution on behalf of clients. Her current practice focuses on family law, including dispute resolution and related matters.
