About Claire Elizabeth

Claire Elizabeth Juneau built a steady path into the law from two Louisiana universities. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from the University of New Orleans in 2007, then continued her legal studies at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, receiving her J.D. in 2010. Those academic choices left her equipped to handle both numerical complexity and courtroom argument.

Her first post-law-school role was a judicial clerkship at the Louisiana Supreme Court in 2010. The clerkship gave her close exposure to appellate work and the inner workings of the state’s highest court. She moved into private practice the following year and has been associated with Kean Miller LLP since 2011, where she became a partner. Her tenure at the firm spans more than a decade and includes work on matters that reach both state and federal forums.

Juneau is admitted to practice in Louisiana and also to the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle and Western Districts of Louisiana. She is admitted to the Fifth Circuit as well. That range of admissions has allowed her to appear in trial courts and on appeal. Colleagues describe her as intentional and steady in court, preferring careful preparation over showmanship.

Outside the courtroom she stays active in professional circles. She is a member of the Louisiana State and Baton Rouge Bar Associations. She also belongs to the Southeast Louisiana chapter of the Women’s Energy Network, an organization that connects women working in the energy industry. Those affiliations reflect both local legal ties and an interest in the energy sector’s professional community.

Her work at Kean Miller has involved collaboration across teams at the firm. She has handled matters that require coordination with regulatory, transactional and litigation colleagues. The experience has required navigating factual complexity, managing discovery and presenting arguments in briefing and oral hearings. She has been involved in cases that proceed through federal district courts and the appellate process.

Juneau balances litigation responsibilities with business-oriented legal work that benefits from her accounting background. She combines courtroom practice and client counseling in ways that reflect her dual training. She maintains an ongoing role at Kean Miller LLP, where her practice focuses on litigation and energy-related matters.
