About Christopher J.

Christopher J. DeSimone trained at two Virginia institutions. He earned a B.A. from the University of Virginia and went on to receive his J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. Those years provided the academic foundation he uses in practice and shaped his familiarity with the legal landscape of the mid-Atlantic.

After law school he gained admission to practice in both the District of Columbia and Virginia. He has handled matters that require navigation of rules and procedures in both jurisdictions. That work has included appearances before tribunals and interactions with regulators, courts and opposing counsel on matters that arise under local and regional law.

He practices at Gross, Romanick, Dean & DeSimone P.C., a firm that serves clients in the Washington, D.C. area and in Virginia. At the firm he advises clients, prepares filings and argues positions in administrative and judicial settings. His practice reflects the day-to-day demands of contested matters as well as the written work that supports them.

DeSimone's education at the University of Virginia and George Mason informs how he approaches legal problems. He favors clear legal analysis and practical steps that move a case forward. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and precise in written work. He handles client consultations, drafts pleadings and briefs, and participates in settlement discussions where appropriate.

Outside the courtroom he maintains the kinds of professional contacts that sustain cross-jurisdictional practice. He keeps current with developments in District of Columbia and Virginia law and works to apply that knowledge to the specific needs of each case. He currently concentrates his practice on matters arising in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
