About Cassie

Cassie Rocha earned her law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 2015 after completing undergraduate studies in psychology at Missouri State University in 2011. She arrived at law school after four years of study and left with a Juris Doctor that set the stage for practice in areas tied to aging, incapacity and estate administration. Her academic background in psychology informs how she approaches clients and difficult family dynamics.

After graduating in 2015, Rocha began practicing law and oriented her work toward issues that commonly affect older adults and their families. Early in her career she gained experience handling matters that require both legal knowledge and sensitivity to personal circumstance. She developed familiarity with probate filings, guardianship petitions, and the procedural aspects of representing clients who are dealing with diminished capacity or family disputes over care.

Her practice emphasizes planning and problem-solving for people facing long-term care costs and the legal consequences that can follow medical or cognitive decline. She prepares wills and trusts, assists families through estate administration, and manages Medicaid planning and asset protection strategies. She also represents clients in guardianship proceedings and advises on powers of attorney and advance care directives. In the office she balances paperwork and court appearances with client meetings that often involve multiple generations of a family.

Rocha maintains active membership in professional associations relevant to her practice. She keeps current on changes in elder law and Medicaid rules, and she applies that knowledge in client matters. Colleagues describe her work as methodical; clients face practical options and clear explanations rather than legal jargon. She approaches each file as a distinct set of facts and family concerns, and she aims to present realistic pathways rather than promises.

She is currently based at Northland Elder Law, where she works with clients on estate planning, Medicaid eligibility, guardianship, and probate matters. Her daily work involves drafting documents, counseling families about care and finances, and appearing in court when necessary. Her current practice focuses on helping older adults and their families plan for and respond to the legal challenges of aging.
