About Brian Edward

Brian Edward Sipe has a background split between theology and law. He earned a Master of Arts in Philosophy of Religion and Theology from Claremont Graduate University in 1997. Four years later he completed his legal training at Rutgers School of Law–Camden, receiving his J.D. in 2001. Those two degrees shape how he approaches complex legal questions and client counseling.

He entered the bar following law school and built a practice that spans several jurisdictions. He is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey. Over the years he has handled matters that required work in both state and federal settings. He has moved between courtroom work, client counseling and transactional tasks as the cases called for it.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and measured in court. He favors clear analysis over flashy argument. That is reflected in how he approaches filings and oral advocacy. He prepares detailed pleadings and aims to give judges straightforward options. He also spends time briefing clients on realistic outcomes, rather than promising unlikely results.

Outside of litigation he has drawn on his graduate study in philosophy and theology to handle cases that raise ethical or institutional questions. That background gives him a different vocabulary when confronting disputes that involve nonprofit entities, faith-based organizations, or complex fiduciary issues. He brings those interests to bear when assessing risk, drafting policies or negotiating settlements.

Throughout his career he has moved between solo and small-firm practice environments. That has kept him close to everyday client concerns, from initial intake through resolution. He has worked on matters that required multi-jurisdictional coordination and has experience submitting filings across state lines when required. He maintains his licenses in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey and continues to accept matters that reflect that geographic reach. He currently practices in Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey.
