About Arkady Eric

Arkady Eric Rayz earned his undergraduate degree in political science from Temple University in 1998 and stayed at Temple for law school, receiving his J.D. in 2001. His time at Temple grounded him in legal research and advocacy. The combination of a political science background and a law degree shaped a practice that has moved between courtroom advocacy and appellate work.

He began his legal career the year he graduated, joining Post & Schell, P.C. as an associate in 2001. The following year he took a staff lawyer position for Hon. Sandra Schultz Newman at the Supreme Court of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. That role placed him inside the state’s highest court and exposed him to the processes that drive appellate decision-making. In 2004 he returned to private practice as an associate at Kimmel & Silverman, P.C. By 2005 he was a member of Kalikhman & Rayz, LLC, a firm he has been associated with since then.

Rayz is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York. He also holds admission to the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. Those credentials allow him to appear in both trial and appellate venues and to handle matters that move beyond state court dockets. His admissions reflect a practice that operates across multiple levels of the judiciary rather than being confined to a single court.

Those who have worked with him note experience that spans courtroom filings, brief writing and the day-to-day demands of litigation. His year in chambers for Justice Newman gave him a perspective on how judges review records and apply legal standards. That experience informs how he prepares appeals and litigates matters in trial courts, where attention to procedure and precedent often decides outcomes.

Across his roles in firms and on the bench side, Rayz has maintained a steady involvement in litigation. His resume shows an attorney who has moved between private practice and judicial service and who has retained a foothold in both state and federal systems. The through line is practical courtroom work supported by appellate experience.

He is a member of Kalikhman & Rayz, LLC and practices in forums that include state and federal courts, the Third Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
