About Brandon
Brandon Morris earned his B.A. from the University of West Florida in 2003 and his J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2007. He completed his formal legal education before stepping into courtroom work, carrying the classroom training into practice in Florida courts.
He began his legal career at the Office of the Public Defender in 2008. There he represented clients in criminal matters and learned the demands of trial preparation, client counseling and court procedure. The early years in public defense gave him steady hands in pressured settings and frequent exposure to jury work.
Morris moved into private practice in the following years. He became a partner at Morris Parnell & Ellis, P.A. in 2012. In 2014 he joined Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz, PLLC, where he worked on matters that broadened his experience in litigation. In 2016 he began working at The Morris Firm, a practice he has remained associated with since then.
He is admitted to practice in Florida and to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Florida. He holds current memberships in the Florida State Bar and the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with the profession and continuing legal education requirements.
Over the course of his career Morris has handled cases in both state and federal settings. His background spans public defense and private litigation. That mix has produced a practice comfortable in courtrooms and in negotiations. Colleagues describe him as a practitioner who moves between roles as needed: advocate, counselor and strategist.
Today he practices at The Morris Firm. His work centers on criminal defense and related litigation in Florida courts and in federal matters where he is admitted. He continues to appear in trials and other proceedings in the Northern District of Florida and in state courts across the jurisdiction.
