About Blaire C.

Blaire C. Hammock earned her law degree from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2010 after completing a bachelor’s degree in psychology and Spanish at Samford in 2007. Her academic record paired liberal arts study with legal training, and it set the stage for a series of clerkships and early legal roles that exposed her to both federal and state practice.

Her early legal experience includes a 2008 clerkship with the Honorable Virginia E. Hopkins of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. In 2009 she worked in Washington, D.C., on the staff of U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions during his service related to the Senate Judiciary Committee. The following year she served as a law clerk in the Jefferson County District Lawyer’s Office, Birmingham Division, in the 10th Judicial Circuit of Alabama. Those positions gave her courtroom observation, research responsibilities and hands-on exposure to litigation and public-sector practice.

After completing those clerkships, she joined St. Denis & Davey as a partner in 2010. That move placed her in private practice where she combined litigation experience gained in clerkships with client work. Over time she built experience in matters that require appearances in both state and federal fora and in advising clients on litigation strategy and procedural issues.

Hammock is admitted to practice in multiple jurisdictions: Alabama, Florida and Georgia as well as in the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Middle Districts of Florida. She is an active member of the Florida State Bar and the State Bar of Georgia. Locally, she participates in the Jacksonville Bar Association. She also maintains memberships in professional organizations that serve defense counsel and dealer counsel, including the Defense Research Institute and the National Association of Dealer Counsel. Those affiliations reflect her regular contact with litigation defense topics and regulatory questions that affect corporate clients.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in preparing cases and attentive to procedural detail. Her background includes federal clerkship work that informs her approach to briefing and courtroom advocacy, and practical defense experience that involves trial preparation and client counseling. She has handled matters that require coordination across state lines and in federal tribunals, drawing on her multi-jurisdictional admissions.

She continues to practice at St. Denis & Davey, where her work centers on civil defense and dealer-related regulatory and compliance matters.
