About Kevin B. Taylor

Kevin B. Taylor Jr. built his academic foundation at Florida State University. He earned a B.S. in Criminology and Political Science in 2013, then stayed on to complete an M.S. in Criminal Justice Studies in 2015. He finished law school at Florida State University College of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2018. The three degrees created a clear throughline from social science to the practice of law.

After law school he entered practice in Florida. He is admitted to the state bar and maintains membership in The Florida Bar. He also holds memberships in the Jacksonville Bar Association and the Tallahassee Bar Association. On the federal side he is admitted to practice in the Northern, Southern and Middle Districts of Florida, allowing him to handle cases across the state in both state and federal courts.

He serves as an associate at Nooney & Roberts. In that role he has worked on litigation matters that arise in Florida’s trial and federal venues. His responsibilities have included drafting pleadings, preparing motions for court, conducting legal research and participating in courtroom proceedings. Colleagues describe him as methodical in courtroom preparation and thorough in legal analysis.

Taylor’s prior academic training informs his approach to cases. The criminology and criminal justice degrees give him background in criminal procedure, evidence and the policy issues that often frame litigation. That background often shows up in the kinds of factual and legal questions he pursues on behalf of clients. He draws on that experience when analyzing case strategy and preparing witnesses for testimony.

Outside the courtroom he takes part in local bar activities and professional events in both Jacksonville and Tallahassee. Those memberships keep him connected to a broader legal community and to continuing legal education opportunities. He continues to build litigation experience across municipal, state and federal dockets.

He currently practices as an associate at Nooney & Roberts, handling federal and state litigation matters throughout Florida.
