About Audrey

Audrey Talley combines a background in the humanities with a long-standing engagement in law and privacy. She began her academic path at Vanderbilt University, where she studied philosophy and completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1971. She then turned to the performing arts, earning a Master of Arts in Drama from the University of Southern California in 1976. Talley returned to formal legal study and received her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law in 1978.

Her education set the stage for a career that spans several jurisdictions. Talley is admitted to practice in Georgia, Pennsylvania, Oklahoma and Massachusetts. Over the years she has moved between courtroom work, counseling clients and handling regulatory matters. Those shifts reflect an interest in both the practical and the procedural sides of law. She has balanced litigation readiness with work advising organizations on compliance and risk management.

Privacy law became a defining element of Talley’s practice as data and regulation grew more complex. She holds the Certified Information Privacy Professional credentials for the U.S., U.S. Government and Canada from the International Association of Privacy Professionals. Those certifications signal a formal grounding in privacy frameworks across multiple governments and sectors. Her work in this area has included advising on data protection policies, responding to incidents, drafting and reviewing contractual provisions related to data sharing, and assisting entities that must meet differing regional requirements.

Talley’s earlier study in drama influences her courtroom manner and client advocacy. She is comfortable explaining technical or regulatory detail to nonlawyers, and she brings an attention to narrative and timing to hearings and presentations. Her philosophical training contributes a habit of probing core assumptions and testing arguments for consistency.

Over time her practice has required adapting to new statutes and shifting enforcement priorities. She has handled matters that touch on state and federal rules, and has supported organizations navigating cross-jurisdictional questions. Her record reflects sustained activity in privacy and compliance issues alongside more traditional legal tasks.

As of 2026 Talley continues to practice, advising clients on privacy, data protection, regulatory compliance and related transactional matters.
