About Ashley A.
Ashley A. Thomas earned her law degree from Charlotte School of Law in 2012 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Rutgers University in 2009. She entered the legal profession at a time when the state and local legal markets were changing rapidly. Her academic background provided a foundation in legal analysis and writing that she carried into a varied early career.
Thomas moved into roles that blended corporate and legal responsibilities. She worked in positions at W.L. Gore & Associates and at Comcast Cable Corporation. Those experiences exposed her to corporate operations and the kinds of legal issues companies face day to day. Over time she transitioned from in-house and corporate environments into private practice.
She is admitted to practice in New Jersey. After several years working in corporate settings, Thomas joined Burnham Law Group as a lawyer. At the firm she has handled matters brought by and against individuals and businesses, and she has worked on cases across different levels of the state system. Colleagues describe her as steady and thorough in preparing filings and in client communications.
Thomas maintains active memberships in local bar organizations. She belongs to the Burlington County Bar Association and the Camden County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep her connected to county-level court practice and to the professional community in South Jersey. She also participates in firm and mentoring activities that help newer attorneys adjust to courtroom procedures and client intake work.
In the office, Thomas balances casework with client meetings and court appearances out of Burnham Law Group’s Somers Point location. Her practice requires frequent contact with judges, court clerks and opposing counsel. She prepares pleadings, manages discovery and advises clients on procedural matters. Her peers note an attention to procedural detail and consistent follow-through on deadlines.
Outside the courthouse she applies experience from her corporate roles to managing client expectations and case workflows. She draws on that background when organizing document reviews and coordinating with experts or vendors. Her approach is practical; she aims to give clients clear options and to explain the likely next steps.
She currently practices at Burnham Law Group’s Somers Point office, where her practice concentrates on representing individuals and businesses in matters under New Jersey law.
