About Anne V.
Anne V. Kiske entered law school after completing a bachelor’s degree in history, with a minor in economics, at Southern Illinois University — Carbondale in 1986. She earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 1991. Those formative years set a clear path into public service and family-related legal work.
Her early career included time at a public defender’s office in Missouri in the mid-1990s. That frontline criminal defense work gave way to roles at the Department of Social Services in Kansas City and later in St. Joseph. Records show she worked for the Department of Social Services in Kansas City in 1999 and again in 2002, then in St. Joseph in 2004. She spent periods as a self-employed lawyer beginning in 2001 and later worked at the Earnshaw-Hobbs Law Office in 2006.
Kiske has balanced practice with teaching and community involvement. In 2009 she served as an adjunct professor at Missouri Western State University. She also took on leadership responsibilities in community organizations. She was vice president of the Unity Center of Leavenworth’s board in 2013 and served as its president in 2014. From 2014 she joined the board of MARCH Mediation, a role that carried through at least 2017. Earlier she worked on fundraising and concert production for the Northwest Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center between 2008 and 2011.
Her professional affiliations reflect long-standing ties to Missouri and, more recently, Kansas. She has been a member of the Missouri Bar Association since 1994 and joined the KCMBA in 2006. She later became a member of the Kansas Bar Association and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts in 2014. Those memberships align with her certifications as a Missouri mediator and as a guardian ad litem.
In 2012 Kiske established her own practice, Kiske Law Office. The firm listing appears as Kiske Law Office, LLC. Over the years she has handled matters that intersect with family courts, child welfare and alternative dispute resolution. Her credentialing as a mediator and guardian ad litem informs how she approaches custody-related inquiries and other family law disputes.
Today she practices from Kiske Law Office, LLC and holds licensure in both Missouri and Kansas. Her practice involves family law, mediation, and acting as guardian ad litem in cases involving children.
