About Marisa A.

Marisa A. No graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 2023. While at Washburn she completed the Family Law Certificate and a Certificate in Advocacy. Those programs shaped her early legal training and gave her practical experience in courtroom procedure and family court practice.

After law school she began practicing in Missouri. She is admitted to the Missouri bar and works out of an office at Joseph, Hollander & Craft. Her move into private practice followed concentrated study of family law subjects in law school and hands-on advocacy training in simulated and real-world settings.

Her formal training in family law informs the kinds of matters she handles. She works on divorce cases and issues involving custody and child support. She also assists clients with related family court proceedings. Her advocacy certificate reflects additional preparation for hearings and contested matters, including courtroom practice and motion work.

Colleagues describe her as careful with procedural detail and steady under pressure. She approaches each file by identifying the immediate legal steps a client needs, then moving methodically through discovery, negotiations, or litigation as appropriate. That methodical approach carries through to client communications; she aims to explain options plainly so people understand the process and the likely next moves.

Her courtroom experience from law school has translated into courtroom work at the firm. She has experience preparing pleadings, arguing motions, and presenting evidence in family court settings. She also spends time on settlement planning and negotiated agreements when those routes fit a client’s goals.

Outside of court, she draws on mediation planning and practical problem-solving to help families reach workable resolutions. She practices both contested and uncontested matters, balancing negotiation and litigation strategies depending on each client’s needs.

She joined Joseph, Hollander & Craft after completing her law degree and remains based there. At the firm she handles family law matters and related proceedings in Missouri courts.
