About Anne M.
Anne M. Gibson built her legal foundation at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned a B.S. in 2004 and returned to the same campus for law school, receiving her J.D. in 2007. Those years in Pittsburgh set the stage for a career spent largely in Pennsylvania courts.
Her first legal role came immediately after law school. In 2007 she served as a law clerk in the Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas. The following year she moved into public defense work, joining the Lancaster County Office of the Public Defender as an assistant public defender. That period sharpened her courtroom skills and exposed her to a steady docket of trials, hearings and client counseling under time pressure.
Gibson transitioned to private practice in the mid-2010s. In 2015 she became a partner at Bentley, Gibson, Kopecki, Smith, P.C., taking on responsibilities that included case strategy, client intake and courtroom advocacy. Her path continued into firm leadership. In 2022 she took on a partner role at Gibson Law Group LLC. Throughout her career she has remained active in local and state bar groups. Gibson is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and has spent her career working in the state’s trial courts, both as a public defender and in private practice.
