About Ann
Ann Funge earned her law degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 1993 after completing a Bachelor of Science at the University of Virginia in 1987. Her legal training in Pittsburgh paved the way for a career that has spanned private firms, bar association work, and an independent practice.
She began her career in 1993 as an associate at Frank, Bails, Kirk, Murcko & Toal, PC. The early years were spent building courtroom experience and learning the practical rhythms of litigation. In 1996 she moved to Wilder & Mahood as an associate, where she further developed the trial and negotiation skills that would mark her later work.
In 2006 her path took her to an affiliation with Cozen O'Connor LLP. That same period saw deeper involvement in county and local bar groups. She was a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and participated in the Pittsburgh Matrimonial Inn of Court through 2006, a reflection of an ongoing interest in family law and matrimonial practice.
By 2011 she established Funge Family Law, LLC and took the title Principal. Since then she has run a small firm that handles family law matters. Her professional memberships include long-standing roles in regional and statewide bar organizations. She joined the Philadelphia Bar Association in 2011 and the Montgomery County Bar Association in 2006. She has been active in the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association since the mid-1990s. She also serves on the PBA Legal Ethics and Professional Responsibility Committee, a role she has held since 1997.
Her work in matrimonial law is reflected in participation in several Inns of Court. She has been a member of the Doris Jonas Freed Matrimonial Inn of Court since 2006 and the Nicholas Cipriani Matrimonial Inn of Court since 2012. Those memberships indicate continuing engagement with peers on procedural issues and courtroom practice specific to family law.
Ann Funge is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is also admitted to multiple Pennsylvania courts, including the Superior Court, the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, and the courts of common pleas in Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery and Bucks counties. That range allows her to handle matters at trial and on appeal within the state system.
Her career combines private-firm experience, bar association participation, and independent practice. She currently operates Funge Family Law, LLC, where she handles family law matters, including divorce and child custody cases.
