About Andy
Andy Goldstein built a practice at the intersection of law, technology, and immigration. He came to law after earning two undergraduate degrees at Middle Tennessee State University — one in computer science and one in political science — and a J.D. from Belmont University College of Law. Those academic threads show through in the kinds of cases he handles and the courts where he appears.
His undergraduate background in computer science gives him a technical lens on evidence and process. The political science degree offered a foundation in public policy and institutions. At Belmont Law he trained in procedure and advocacy. Those three degrees form the spine of a practice that touches federal litigation and administrative adjudication.
Goldstein joined Cole Law Group, P.C. as an associate in 2018. He moved into a leadership role as managing lawyer in 2022 and became managing shareholder in 2023. In those roles he handles case strategy, courtroom work, and firm management. He also files pleadings, argues motions, and appears in hearings at the administrative level. Those tasks reflect both litigation practice and the administrative law side of immigration work.
His admissions cover a range of federal and appellate venues. He is authorized to practice in Tennessee and has been admitted in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Tennessee. His federal appellate credentials include the Sixth Circuit. He also holds admission to the United States Supreme Court and represents clients before the Immigration Courts of the Executive Office for Immigration Review. These credentials allow him to move cases through trial courts, administrative tribunals, and appellate stages when necessary.
Outside courtrooms, Goldstein participates in several professional organizations. He has been a member of the Belmont University College of Law American Inn of Court since 2015. He belongs to the Nashville Bar Association since 2018 and the Williamson County Bar Association since 2020. He also joined the John Marshall American Inn of Court in 2020 and was a member of the American Bar Association from 2018 to 2019. Those memberships reflect ongoing engagement with peers and continuing legal education.
He practices at Cole Law Group, PC, where he supervises litigation and case intake and supports clients navigating deportation proceedings and federal claims. His current work centers on immigration and federal litigation at Cole Law Group, PC.
