About Alyssa
Alyssa Castronovo combines a steady legal training with hands-on experience in family law settings. She built her academic foundation at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, earning a Bachelor of Arts before heading to Pennsylvania State University for her Juris Doctor. She entered practice prepared to take on client-facing work and court responsibilities early in her career.
Her law school years included practical clinic work. In 2021 she served as a certified legal intern at the Penn State Dickinson School of Law Family Law Clinic. In that role she handled client interviews, drafted pleadings and motions, and represented clients in proceedings under faculty supervision. The clinic work exposed her to the procedural and interpersonal demands of family law practice.
Before the clinic placement she gained firm-side experience as a law clerk in 2020 at Fann Law, LLC. There she performed legal research, assisted in case preparation and supported trial-ready filings. Those responsibilities helped her develop habits of precise drafting and careful case management that carried into her subsequent roles.
Castronovo later joined Cole Law Group, PC as an associate attorney. In that position she has taken on a mix of litigation preparation and client counseling tasks. She works on case strategy, prepares written submissions for court, and meets directly with clients to explain options and next steps. Colleagues describe her as methodical in courtroom preparation and attentive in client meetings.
She is admitted to practice in Tennessee and maintains current memberships in the State Bar of Tennessee and the Nashville Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to local practice developments and continuing legal education offerings in the state. She has used bar resources to stay current on procedural changes and developments affecting family law and civil practice.
Outside the office she has remained tied to the causes that shaped her early legal training. Clinic work at Penn State and her clerkship experience inform how she approaches client problems now. She keeps a practical focus in the day-to-day work and aims for clear communication in contentious matters. She currently practices at Cole Law Group, PC, where her work centers on family law and related civil matters.
