About Andrew

Andrew Strickland earned his law degree from Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2016. He moved into practice immediately after law school, bringing a mix of public sector and courtroom experience to his early roles. His academic years included a fellowship that placed him inside a municipal development agency and set the stage for later government-facing work.

In 2015 Strickland served as a General Counsel Fellow at Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. There he worked on legal issues connected to a large urban redevelopment project. The role exposed him to the intersection of public policy, real estate, and municipal operations. He returned to the mid-Atlantic after graduation and spent 2016 as a staff lawyer at Legal Services of Northern Virginia, representing clients in civil legal aid matters and gaining direct client experience in the community.

The following year he joined the Superior Court of the District of Columbia as a judicial law clerk. In that position he assisted judges by researching legal questions, preparing bench memoranda and drafting opinions. The clerkship gave him a close look at trial procedures and judicial decision-making in the District, and it added practical insight to the litigation skills he had been developing.

Strickland is admitted to practice in both the District of Columbia and Virginia. That dual admission reflects the geographic scope of his practice and the workplaces he has chosen. He has worked on matters that involve municipal entities, civil representation and courtroom procedure. His background combines public interest experience, government-side legal work, and a year inside the judiciary.

He maintains offices in Fairfax and in Washington, D.C., and practices across both jurisdictions. Colleagues describe him as methodical and precise in litigation preparation, and he typically handles matters that arise in District of Columbia and Virginia courts. He currently practices from the Fairfax and D.C. offices, handling matters arising in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
