About Andrew
Andrew Popp completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Florida, earning a Bachelor of Science in 2011. He went on to Stetson University College of Law, where he received his J.D. in 2014. Those years shaped the legal foundation he draws on today. He studied both substance and procedure, then moved quickly into practice in two states.
Popp’s early career took him into private practice. By 2018 he was a partner at Kovar Law Group, taking on a mix of client work and firm responsibilities. In 2020 he joined Weisenburger Law Offices as an elder law lawyer, a role that kept him close to issues affecting older adults and families. In 2021 he became managing partner of Legacy Law Office, LLC, a position that added administrative oversight to his client work. As managing partner he oversees firm operations and continues to counsel clients.
His practice history reflects sustained involvement in elder law and related matters. He has worked on planning and decision-making issues that commonly arise for aging clients and their families. He also handles estate planning and probate-related work, advising clients on documents and processes that affect estates and long-term care arrangements. His experience includes both direct client counseling and courtroom or administrative proceedings when necessary.
Popp is licensed to practice in Florida and Ohio. He holds memberships in national and local professional organizations, including the American Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. He is also active in the Portage County Bar Association and the Portage Senior Services Network. Those memberships connect him to colleagues and community resources relevant to elder law and probate matters.
Colleagues describe Popp as a practitioner who balances case work with firm leadership. He moved from associate and partner roles into an executive position while continuing to take clients. He splits time between advisory work, document drafting and representation in probate or guardianship proceedings when required. He practices from Legacy Law Office, LLC and serves clients across Florida and Ohio. He currently focuses his practice on elder law, estate planning and probate matters.
