About Andrew

Andrew Coleman earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Western Kentucky University before turning to law at Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. His undergraduate training in numbers and ledgers preceded the study of statutes and motions, and it continues to inform how he approaches questions of damages and economic loss.

He began his legal career at Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers in 2009 and has remained with the firm since then. Early work involved case intake, client interviews and gathering the evidence that underlies personal injury claims. Over the years he has handled files through investigation, negotiation and, when necessary, trial preparation. That steady progression gave him familiarity with both settlement practice and courtroom procedure in Kentucky.

Coleman practices in the area indicated by his firm’s name: personal injury. He represents people who have been injured in automobile collisions, on construction sites, and in other settings where negligence is at issue. His accounting background is frequently useful when assessing medical bills, lost wages and other financial aspects of a claim. He works with medical providers, vocational experts and accident reconstruction specialists to build the factual record his clients need.

At the core of his work is client contact. Coleman is often the person who meets with injured parties, explains case timelines and answers questions about the legal process. He handles demands and settlement discussions, and he prepares pleadings when litigation is required. His practice requires both written and oral advocacy; he spends time drafting motions and appearing in Kentucky state courts on behalf of clients.

Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers maintains multiple offices across the state, and Coleman practices from the firm’s locations in Kentucky. His caseload spans the spectrum of injury matters the firm accepts, and he collaborates with colleagues on complex issues when cases require additional resources.

Outside of individual cases, he has kept an active role in the daily work of a midsize plaintiff-side practice, contributing to case strategy and client counseling. He has built experience over more than a decade at the same firm, which has allowed him to develop practical routines for case management and trial preparation. He currently represents clients in personal injury matters at Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers.
