About Anastasia
Anastasia Burkham earned her J.D. from Washington University School of Law in 2000. She completed a demanding course of study at a school known for its rigorous programs and took the bar exam soon after graduation. Her legal training provided the foundation for a steady career in private practice.
She is a partner at Sigman, Janssen, Sewall, Pitz & Burkham. As a partner she participates in firm decisions and works directly with clients. Her role combines client counseling, case management and coordination with colleagues. Over time she has taken on greater responsibility inside the firm, shaping matters from intake through resolution.
Burkham remains actively involved in professional organizations. She serves on the board of the State Bar of Wisconsin Young Lawyers Division and on the board of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. She is also a member of the Outagamie County Bar Association. Those roles place her in regular contact with peers across jurisdictions and offer opportunities to address issues that affect practicing lawyers.
Colleagues describe her as practical and thorough in day-to-day work. She approaches problems by breaking them into manageable parts. That method guides how she prepares files, meets with clients and coordinates expert or opposing counsel. She balances attention to detail with an ability to see the larger procedural picture. In meetings she asks pointed questions and expects answers that clarify risk and options.
Outside the courtroom and conference room, she is involved in bar activities that connect newer lawyers to more seasoned practitioners. She has taken on board duties that include program planning and outreach. Those efforts aim to create forums for legal education and professional conversation. Her current practice centers on client representation and legal counsel at Sigman, Janssen, Sewall, Pitz & Burkham.
