About Kristen Sara

Kristen Sara Scheuerman earned her law degree from Marquette University Law School in 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Arts in political science at Lawrence University in 2003. She returned to northeastern Wisconsin to build a legal career informed by an earlier start in business. Her academic background sits alongside practical experience gained before she entered law school.

Before attending Marquette, Scheuerman held positions in the private sector that exposed her to management and client relations. In 2003 she worked as a KellerSoft Coordinator at JJ Keller & Associates Inc., and in 2006 she served as a Regional Inside Sales Manager for Krueger International, Inc. Those roles involved project coordination and regional sales responsibilities, experience she later brought into her legal work.

Scheuerman is licensed to practice in Wisconsin. Over the years she has taken on a range of leadership positions within state legal organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Wisconsin Association of Justice. Her work there has included roles on the Education Program Committee, a stint as Program Chair for the New Lawyers Section, past chair of the Women’s Caucus, vice-chair of the Justice Fund, and a term as a trustee.

Her activity in the Wisconsin State Bar Association includes membership in the Litigation Section and service on the organization’s board, where she has held the role of treasurer. Locally, she has been active in the Outagamie County Bar Association and served as its president for the 2015–2016 term. She also belongs to the Association for Women Lawyers, the American Bar Association, and the American Association for Justice.

Scheuerman participates in projects outside the courtroom as well. She volunteers with the Legal Action of Wisconsin Volunteer Lawyers Project, working through the Outagamie County Truancy Court. She has also volunteered for Wisconsin Election Protection and holds membership in the National Alliance of Medicare Set-Aside Professionals.

She is part of the team at Herrling Clark Law Office Ltd., working from the firm’s Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh offices. Colleagues describe her as someone who brings organizational skills from her business background to her legal practice, particularly in litigation settings. She combines that practical approach with ongoing service to bar groups and community programs.

Her current practice focuses on litigation in Wisconsin.
