About Adam W.

Adam W. Pittman built his legal foundation at Auburn University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts degree, and at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where he earned his J.D. in 2011. While in law school he served as a senior editor of the Alabama Law Review, a role that put him deep into legal research and writing. That experience shaped his early approach to casework and courtroom preparation.

After law school, Pittman entered private practice in Alabama and joined Cory Watson Crowder & DeGaris. He has worked as a lawyer at the firm, taking on client matters and courtroom responsibilities. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and straightforward in his courtroom manner. He has handled the kinds of tasks junior and mid-level trial lawyers commonly manage, including drafting briefs, taking depositions, and preparing witnesses for trial.

Pittman maintains active ties to the Birmingham legal community. He is a current member of the Birmingham Bar Association, where he takes part in programs that serve local practitioners. He also holds membership in the Alabama Association for Justice and participates in its Emerging Leaders Section. Those affiliations give him access to continuing education and a network of litigators across the state.

Outside of strictly legal circles he participates in civic and professional groups. He is a current member of The Rotaract Club of Birmingham, an organization that connects young professionals to service projects and community leadership opportunities. That involvement is part of a pattern of engagement that complements his legal work and provides a wider network within Birmingham.

Pittman’s background on the Alabama Law Review has continued to inform his practice. Colleagues note his attention to precedent and to persuasive legal writing. Day to day he balances research and client contact, moving between courtroom preparation and the administrative demands of case management.

He remains based in Alabama and works from the offices of Cory Watson Crowder & DeGaris. His practice concentrates on litigation and client representation, where he handles case preparation, discovery, and courtroom advocacy on behalf of clients at his firm.
