About Adam T
Adam T Katzman earned his law degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law. He entered the legal field after work in the county system, and his path through public service and private practice has shaped how he approaches cases today.
His first legal-adjacent role came in 2001 when he served as an adult probation officer with the Montgomery County Probation Department. That role placed him on the front lines of supervision and court reporting. It also gave him a working knowledge of how probation and sentencing decisions affect the people who move through the criminal justice system.
By 2008 Katzman had transitioned into practicing law. He worked as an associate at Gazan & John, PC, and later that same year he joined the Montgomery County Public Defenders as a trial lawyer and assistant public defender. Those years in the defender’s office provided routine courtroom experience. He handled arraignments, hearings, and trials and became familiar with the practical demands of criminal cases at various stages.
In 2012 he became a partner and shareholder at KATZMAN LAW OFFICE, P.C. The move into firm leadership marked the start of a new phase in his career. As a partner, he balanced casework with the administrative responsibilities that come with running a practice. His work at the firm has kept him active in courtroom settings and in client counseling.
Outside the courtroom Katzman participates in local professional and civic organizations. He is a member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Montgomery Bar Association. On the community side he serves on the board of Perkiomen Valley SC, Inc. / Perkiomen Valley Soccer Club and holds the post of secretary beginning in 2023. He was also active with Open Hearth, Inc., serving on its executive committee and as president of the board from 2013 through 2022.
Colleagues and former public-sector supervisors note that his background in probation and public defense gives him a practical perspective on outcomes that matter to clients. He has experience managing trials and advising clients about plea options, court procedures, and the possible collateral consequences of convictions.
Katzman continues to practice from his role at KATZMAN LAW OFFICE, P.C. He handles criminal defense matters in Pennsylvania and represents individuals in state court proceedings, drawing on both his trial experience and his earlier work in probation services.
