Ms. Sokolson earned her Juris Doctor from California Western School of Law in 2000. Prior to law school, she graduated from Temple University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Risk Management. During her time at California Western, she received honors including two American Jurisprudence Awards for Trial Advocacy and Mediation.
Ms. Sokolson's practice focuses on personal injury litigation, representing clients in cases such as motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, workplace injuries, and wrongful death. Before joining Velter Yurovsky Zoftis Sokolson, LLC, Ms. Sokolson worked for four years at the Defender Association of Philadelphia, gaining extensive trial experience representing adult and juvenile clients charged with misdemeanor and felony offenses. She also served as in-house counsel in the Special Investigation Unit for a major insurance company, defending personal injury claims. Ms. Sokolson has been practicing law for over 15 years and is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
Ms. Sokolson is a member of the Bucks County Bar Association and has served on the Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Board. She has also been selected by both plaintiff and defense counsel to serve as a neutral Arbitrator and Mediator. Fluent in Russian, she has been recognized as the 2022 Personal Injury Law Attorney of the Year.
