About Adam E.
Adam E. Carr graduated from Rice University in 1986 with dual majors in history and English. He earned his J.D. from Cleveland State University in 1990. He moved into traditional post‑graduate legal training and soon after began a series of clerkships and early practice roles that shaped his litigation career.
His first position after law school was as a law clerk at Zashin, Rich, Sutula & Monastra Co., L.P.A. in 1991. He served as a judicial law clerk at Cleveland Heights Municipal Court in 1992 and held a fellowship at Cleveland‑Marshall College of Law the same year. He spent time as a judicial extern at the Court of Appeals of Ohio, Eighth Appellate District in 1993, then worked as general counsel for Cleveland Orthopaedic & Spine Center, Inc. that year. Those roles gave him courtroom exposure and in‑house counsel experience early in his career.
In 1995 he joined Williams Sennett & Scully Co., L.P.A. as a partner. He later founded and became managing partner of Carr Law Office, LLC in 2005. The progression from clerkships to firm partnership and then to managing partner reflects steady movement into senior litigation roles and firm leadership.
Carr is board‑certified as a civil trial lawyer by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a credential he has held since 2004. He is active in professional organizations that align with civil litigation and defense work. His memberships include the Defense Research Institute, the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Lawyers, the Claims & Litigation Management Alliance, and the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators where he serves on the Ohio board. He also participates in local bar groups such as the Akron Bar Association and the Lake County Bar Association.
He practices in Ohio and is admitted to the Sixth Circuit. That combination of trial certification and association involvement points to substantial trial and civil litigation experience, including matters tied to insurance claims and defense practice. Colleagues describe him as steady in court and attentive to case preparation.
Beyond litigation, Carr has been involved in legal education and professional development through his longstanding role in Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, where he has served as Student Dean and Alumni Dean. He balances casework with the administrative tasks of running a small firm and handling client relationships.
He currently practices at Carr Law Office, LLC, handling civil litigation and trial matters.
