About Zach
Zach Walsh earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law in 2013. He arrived in law school after undergraduate studies and finished at a time when courtroom experience was becoming more central to training. Those years shaped how he approaches routine filings and high-stakes hearings. He keeps the classroom lessons close when preparing clients for court.
He is admitted to practice in Oregon and Washington, and he is also admitted to the U.S. District Court of Oregon. Those admissions allow him to move between state and federal dockets as cases require. Over the years he has maintained memberships in several professional organizations that cover both criminal defense and family law practice areas.
His association list is broad. He is a current member of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the Washington Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He also belongs to the Oregon Association of Family Law Practitioners and serves on the Executive Committee of the Oregon New Lawyers Division. He is a member of the Gus J. Solomon Inn of Court and the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Tribal Bar. Those affiliations reflect a mix of trial work, appellate interests, and practice that touches tribal matters.
Walsh’s practice bridges criminal defense work and family law. He represents clients in state court matters across those fields and handles cases that require representation in federal court. He appears before tribal entities when cases intersect with tribal jurisdiction. His work involves motion practice, hearings, client counseling, and trial preparation. He is comfortable moving between different procedural settings and the paperwork that each demands.
He practices at McKean Smith Law LLC and at the firm’s Vancouver office. The firm listings identify his current offices and the platforms from which he takes cases. He continues to participate in professional associations and bar activities while maintaining an active caseload. He currently concentrates his work on criminal defense and family law matters.
